Students at the Qalam School are taught how to read, write and express themselves in English and Urdu. They are taught mathematics, the basic concepts of science, social studies, and general knowledge. They study Islamiyat. They have art and music. We try to give them a real education — not the thin, rote version that is too often the only option for children of their background.
By the time they leave us, they have matriculated and are ready for college or a vocational career. Many of our students are now in college and are aiming for fulfilling careers. We help with that too, through the college fund.
“Every child deserves the chance to find out what they are good at. That is what we are here to make possible.”
